➤ Fire Cabinets
There are all kind of fire cabinet, with simple tools, breathing apparatuses. More specialized applications concern EAS cabinets, which are required in tunnels, such as the ring of Patras.
➤ Hoses
Available extinguishers of all types, most notably of all sizes for steel, stainless steel, with space for fire extinguisher or not. More specialized applications are available on request, with spare hoses, foam etc.
➤ Fire extinguisher
Fire extinguishers are portable cylindrical containers made of steel, sheet metal or aluminum containing extinguishing material used to extinguish fires in the initial stage of the event. There are portable, mobile or ceiling with extinguishing material powder, water, foam, carbon dioxide, in various sizes, certified according to EU Directive 97/23 or EN3 standard.
Fire extinguishers depending on the burning material are divided into:
Type A: Fires from solid materials such as organic synthesis wood, paper, straw, tires, textiles, plastics, etc.
Type B: Fires from liquid fuels or liquefied solids eg alcohol, gasoline, oil, oils, grease, wax, etc.
Type C: Fires from gas fuels such as methane, butane, propane, hydrogen, acetylene, etc.
Type D: Fires from metals such as magnesium, titanium, zirconium, sodium, potassium, etc.
Type E: Fires from fuel of the above categories A, B, C, D, or near electrical equipment, installations that are under voltage.
Characterization of fire extinguishers
Depending on the extinguishing agent contained, fire extinguishers are characterized by the following letters:
